Coen and Janny

They saw two different coffee tables made by Estilo Amsterdam Meubelstudio. They decided they also wanted something this beautiful for themselves. They summed up all elements they like in the other tables: solid top, a “look through” in the top, drawers to store small items, and visible traditional joints (because Coen’s grandfather was cabinet maker as well).

I visited their house, saw two sofas placed at right angles, which needed a coffee table. That is why I inmediately thought of one round corner in the table. They liked that idea very much.

But I could not get that combined in a nice way with all their other wishes. I made a design without a solid top, and one without drawers. After seeing the specimen, they decided they liked the latter design.

And they are very content: “anyone that visits us for the first time, goes on their knees to see all the details of our coffee table.”
